WORKS PROGRESS AT PSH ENVIRONMENTAL
Last week, along with the glorious weather, we had an exciting day over at one of our current sites, PSH Environmental. This project includes an extension onto an existing warehouse and associated external works, landscaping and drainage works.
One side of the site was having 4 out of the 8 concrete pads poured by GRC Flooring, with each pour in excess of 600M2. This was under fairly difficult conditions due to the 27-degree heat, but the guys continued to work with no complaints and completed the 4 pads. Luckily they had some slightly cooler days later in the week to complete the remaining 4 pads at a comfortable temperature! These pads, once complete will form the extension to the existing yard.
On the opposite side of the site, we had the storm water separator being installed. A huge 5.2m² trench box was supplied from MGF to accommodate the storm water separator. Supplied by FP McCann, this was over 6m deep and weighing in excess of 45 tonnes - the largest they have supplied to date in the UK! It required a crane to lift each element of the separator into position, and close supervision to ensure it was carried out accurately and safely.
Works are continuing on this site, so keep an eye out for further updates.
